Cole Dano

Noted for a keen desire to teach yoga from the ground up, sensitive adjustments that guide students into their natural alignment, and looking at yoga in terms of the big picture, guided by years of living with the Vedanta philosophy taught to him with Swami Swahananda’s guidance.

“I started practicing yoga when as a teenager in an effort to discover more about myself. Over the years i have tried to the best of my ability to dig deep into the practice, to keep an open mind and get out of my own way. That process has taken me through many twists and turns, sometimes even turning my ideas about yoga completely on their head. Allowing each day to bring new discoveries, I try to work with the journey – being present, here now, and letting God, nature, and consciousness reveal themselves of their own accord. For me, yoga is the natural method to tune into this process of self-revelation.”

After years of study with both the Iyengar method and Ashtanga yoga, where he completed the 4th series with the sound of Chuck Miller’s voice playing in his head , he began to draw from diverse directions with the goal of a more complete and personal practice. He is proud to have met US National level gymnastic coach Christopher Sommer which brought a fundamental change in approach to teaching yoga, opening new and diverse avenues. As well being graetful to numerous others in the world of yoga, traditional Chinese Internal Martial arts, Indian Club swinging, strength training and more who have helped along the long and winding road of self discovery.

Cole also manages his own company yoga horizons where he can be sought for private lessons and courses www.yoga-horizons.com
